Honey Garlic Lemon Chicken Recipe
I wanted to share my go-to dinner recipe for the past couple of months. Whenever I’m craving a filling and delicious meal I always break this recipe out. Before we get to the recipe and instructions, I want to give credit to the person I found this recipe from, @ice.karimcooks on TikTok. Ingredients:
2 Chicken Breasts
Garlic Powder
Salt & Pepper
Olive Oil
Butter
Minced Garlic
Honey
Soy Sauce (Low sodium)
Rice Vinegar
1 Lemon
Instructions:
First, score each chicken breast on one side in a criss-cross formation. Make sure to not cut through it completely.
Add garlic powder, salt, and pepper to taste. Drizzle the chicken with olive oil.
Add both of the chicken breasts to your pan, scored side down. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side.
Flip the chicken so that the scored side is up and turn the heat down. Add 1 tbsp of butter, half a spoonful of minced garlic, 3 tbsp of honey, 3 tbsp of soy sauce, and 2 tbsp of rice vinegar.
Let it simmer for a minute while you cut the lemon in half. Squeeze half of the lemon juice onto the chicken.
Let it simmer again for another 30 seconds and take it off.
Serve with a side of rice or a vegetable (green beans are my go-to).
Eat and enjoy!
I have noticed a few things in this recipe that I’ve had to change so here are my tips:
After the sauce has been in the pan, flip the chicken for more flavor on the scored side.
Sometimes, the chicken doesn't look cooked all the way through at first. Try letting it cook for another minute or two on the scored side.
Once you get the hang of this recipe, you’ll be able to eye-ball everything! Don’t stress too much about exact measurements, etc.
